Sydney Montessori Schools, a venture promoted by a dynamic and enthusiastic woman entrepreneur, Mrs. Jasmine K Mathew commenced operations in 2003. A post graduate in HR and trained in Montessori system of education and child care, Sydney has become a passion for Mrs. Jasmine. Vision of Sydney is to be “That distinctive force which structures, shapes, stabilises and sustains this earth and all the life on it through an all-encompassing novel education system”. We try to achieve this through our motto of “Creating life not just knowledge“.

The quality of education coupled with unique model of care system which has evolved over a period of 22 years of experience have positioned Sydney group as leaders in Montessori Schools in Kerala. Over these years, Sydney has established 20 institutions spread over 6 districts in Kerala. Centre for Excellence in Child Research and Training and Sydney Montessori Teacher’s Training College are at our Kottayam branch. 

We have been successfully and exclusively operating the crèche facility, under our brand of Sydney Montessori Schools at Infopark, Kochi from 2013.

We aim to expand our reach with 40 new branches within the next five years, fostering holistic child development while creating sustainable opportunities for women in education and childcare.

JASMIN K MATHEW

CHAIRPERSON, SYDNEY MONTESSORI SCHOOLS

Jasmin K. Mathew, a pioneer in early childhood education, has redefined Montessori education in Kerala through her visionary leadership. With over 22 years of experience, Jasmin started the first Sydney Montessori School in 2003, transforming the landscape of pre-school education.

Our chairperson’s innovative methods focus on holistic child development, integrating global
standards with local values to nurture young minds. Under her guidance, Sydney
Montessori has grown into Kerala’s largest Montessori school network, with 20 thriving
branches and institutions counting.

Beyond shaping the future of children, Jasmin has empowered over 80 women teachers, providing them with meaningful employment and professional training. Her commitment to women’s empowerment is evident in the supportive, skill-enhancing environment she fosters.
Through Sydney Montessori Schools, Jasmin has created a sustainable model of education and empowerment, building a stronger community for generations to come.

Kerala Model Montessori Education

  • At Sydney Montessori Schools, we integrate the rich cultural heritage of Kerala into our Montessori curriculum, creating a unique and wholesome learning environment.
  • Our approach celebrates local traditions by incorporating vernacular Malayalam songs, folktales, and stories, fostering a deep cultural connection for children.
  • Complementing this is our emphasis on promoting local, seasonal foods like ela ada and kozhukatta, providing pure vegetarian food that is warm, tasty, and healthy meals to support the holistic development of our students.
  • Our extended operational hours, from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, cater to working parents, ensuring exceptional care and education for their children.
  • A highlight of our calendar is Kala Utsav, our cultural festival where children of all age groups showcase their talents on stage.
  • This inclusive event builds confidence and a sense of accomplishment, with every child receiving a certificate, making it a cherished memory for both parents and students.
